Generally speaking, a customized tool will be used for this rivet.

Drill a 7.9–8.0 mm hole and deburr it. Insert the rivet from the outer side. Keep the rubber washer flat on the panel, do not push it into the hole.

Fit the dedicated 7.8mm gun nose onto the mandrel. Hold the rivet gun perpendicular to the surface and press firmly against the rivet flange.

Pull continuously until the mandrel snaps off. Stop right away and never re-pull repeatedly.

Inspect: The gasket is tightly compressed. The back sleeve evenly forms three bulbing petals. Test for water leakage if required.
